Spacecraft Press is proud to announce the publication of Gregory Betts’s Armstrong’s Lament. A total of 50 copies were produced, 25 of which are for sale.

Armstrong’s Lament showcases a series of acrobatic phrases, each one a perfect palindrome, each palindrome-phrase itself comprised mainly of ‘levidromes’ (words that, when spelt backwards, form other words in-and-of-themselves, without the need to share letters with other words). The word was coined by 6-year-old avid reader Levi Budd.

Gregory Betts is a professor at Brock University with a specialty in Canadian and avant-garde literature. He is the author of six books of poetry and the editor of eight books of experimental writing in Canada.

Armstrong’s Lament is available for $4.00 including domestic postage (+$1.00 non-Canadian postage).  To order, please contact Ken Hunt at jkchunt@hotmail.com. PayPal is preferred. Money orders in CAN dollars are also accepted.

SPACECRAFT PRESS 063: “THE PAIN ITSELF” BY KEVIN ECKHOFF

painimage.jpgSpacecraft Press is proud to announce the release of Kevin Exkhoff’s The Pain Itself. A total of 30 copies were produced, 15 of which are for sale

These excerpts from Kevin Eckhoff’s book The Pain Itself (forthcoming from Insert/Blanc press), recreate Cicero’s de Finibus using the ‘lorem ipsum’ placeholder text generator, the randomized text of which is thought to have originated from Cicero’s work.

Eckhoff uses translation software to exhume the corpse of Cicero’s work from its lorem ipsum tomb, reanimating the body of an asemic bastardization of writing. The result is an absurdist/surrealist mutation, a Frankenstein’s Monster assembled by algorithms

The Pain Itself is available for $6.00 including domestic postage (+$1 non-Canadian postage). To order, please contact Ken Hunt at jkchunt@hotmail.com. Paypal is preferred. Money orders in CAN dollars are also accepted.
