Spacecraft Press is proud to announce the publication of an excerpt from Braydon Beaulieu’s Absentis numerus project. A total of 50 copies were produced, 25 of which are for sale.
Absentis numerus explores the possibility of a video game glitch affecting the memory of not only the computer, but of the human as well. In this piece, the language of the program imposes itself upon the language of the user, and characters themselves disappear into the void. The format of this chapbook mirrors the device used to catalogue the creatures that populate the game world affected by the glitch.
Braydon Beaulieu studies creative writing at the University of Calgary, where he is pursuing a doctorate. His work appears in Matrix Magazine, Broken Pencil, and the Windsor Review. You can find him on Twitter at @BraydonBeaulieu.
Absentis numerus is available for $3.00 including domestic postage (+$1 non-Canadian postage). To order, please contact Ken Hunt at firstname.lastname@example.org. Paypal is preferred. Money orders in Canadian dollars are also accepted.
